Your Dog’s Day at Little Rowfold Doggys Daycare

A balanced daily routine built around care, structure and your dog’s wellbeing.

Every day at Little Rowfold is thoughtfully planned to give dogs the right mix of social time, enrichment, rest and training. From gentle arrivals in the morning to calm wind-down time before home time, each part of the day supports your dog’s physical and emotional needs. Our experienced team carefully supervise all activities, adapting the day to suit individual dogs so they feel safe, settled and content while in our care.

7:30am onwards:

Arrival & settling in.

Dogs arrive and are welcomed with calm introductions, followed by light social play in the yard to help them settle comfortably.

Morning:

Play, social time & enrichment.

Dogs enjoy structured indoor and outdoor play, alongside enrichment such as snuffle mats, puzzles, scatter feeding and scent work.

Early Afternoon:

Rest & calm time.

After an active morning, dogs have time to rest in quiet rooms with beds, crates and sofas. Individual downtime is supported by staff monitoring to ensure each dog feels relaxed and secure.

Mid Afternoon:

Training & confidence building.

Dogs participate in training and group activities, practising basic cues such as sit, down and recall, alongside impulse control and confidence-building games.

Late Afternoon:

Play & Individual Care.

A second structured play session gives dogs another opportunity for indoor and outdoor activity. Individual dog showers are provided where needed.

Early Evening - 6pm:

Wind-down & home time.

The day finishes with calming enrichment, including low-arousal scent games, settle-on-the-mat practice and gentle touch. Dogs then head home calm, content and ready to rest.

The Paddock
(Outdoor Play Area)

Our paddock is a spacious outdoor zone designed for active play and exploration. It includes a sensory walk-through (trot) area, a sand pit for digging, agility features, and individual doggy houses. With plenty of open space, it’s the perfect spot for running, playing, and burning off energy in a safe environment.

We’ll also be introducing an additional sensory garden in the future. This will be a dedicated enrichment space designed to stimulate curiosity and encourage calm exploration, but it will not be ready in time for launch.
